Overview
A public-facing information portal for a national government ministry — accessible to all public users — designed as a responsive platform across web, tablet, and mobile. Contribution scope: 3 core modules (Homepage, Logo Philosophy, and Policy Direction) within a broader government portal project. Successfully launched and publicly accessible.
Objective
To design a credible, accessible, and government-appropriate digital information portal that effectively communicates the ministry's identity, policy direction, and institutional values to the general public — establishing a trustworthy and navigable online presence for a national government ministry.
Problem Statement
Lack of structured public digital presence: The ministry required a centralized, well-organized portal to present institutional information, policy direction, and brand identity to a broad and diverse public audience.
Government brand alignment: The design needed to reflect the ministry's institutional identity with appropriate visual authority — balancing formal credibility with public accessibility.
Multi-device accessibility: As a public-facing portal serving a wide demographic across Indonesia, the platform required responsive design across web, tablet, and mobile to ensure broad reach and usability.
My Role
UI/UX Designer — responsible for end-to-end design of 3 assigned modules within the portal, from design system application and wireframing through high-fidelity UI, prototyping, UAT with client stakeholders, and developer handoff.
Process
Requirement Gathering & Client Alignment: Analyzed client requirements and aligned on visual direction, content structure, and design expectations for each assigned module through iterative stakeholder communication.
Design Execution: Applied the project's design system to produce wireframes and high-fidelity UI for 3 modules: Homepage (primary entry point and ministry overview), Logo Philosophy page (institutional brand narrative), and Policy Direction page (ministry's strategic policy communication).
Iterative Review & UAT: Presented designs through multiple review cycles with client stakeholders, refining based on feedback until designs met client expectations and received sign-off.
Developer Handoff: Delivered complete responsive design handoff (web, tablet, mobile) to the development team upon client approval.
Solution
Designed a Homepage that serves as the primary public entry point — establishing institutional credibility while providing clear navigation to the ministry's key information areas.
Designed a Logo Philosophy page communicating the ministry's brand identity and institutional values in a structured, visually coherent narrative.
Designed a Policy Direction page presenting the ministry's strategic policy framework in a clear, publicly accessible format.
Delivered all 3 modules as responsive designs across web, tablet, and mobile — completed within a 1-month timeline with stakeholder approval.
Successfully launched as a publicly accessible government portal
